Objectives

Due to globalization, a larger number of four –wheelers from all corners of the world are seen on Indian roads. These four-wheelers have advanced technology in their mechanism &operation. Because of the rise in the standard of living, more and more people are in a position to own a four-wheeler. Hand-in hand with this growth is the need of skilled mechanics.

For fulfilling this need NIOS has designed the course of four wheeler mechanisms. This course is also for school dropouts, practicing mechanics or unemployed youth and is also useful in day to day life with the objective of creating interest in youth ,give in-depth knowledge of the mechanisms of four-wheeler, provide practical training, to equip the learner with skills to identify and fix problems and most importantly to acquaint the learner with the entrepreneur skills.

After completion of this course one have job opportunities in automobile showrooms, wayside four-wheeler workshop, service centers, manufacturing and assembling unit and as Self Employment person starting a small automobile repair shop.
